Stephen M. Elliott of Thin Film Consulting discusses his use of Opera FEA

In this short video Stephen M. Elliott of Thin Film Consulting discusses his use of Opera FEA Simulation Software over his distinguished career, with Andrew Farebrother from Cobham Technical Services.

During his career, Stephen M. Elliott has worked on the development of very high voltage generators, ion beam sources, electron guns, linear accelerators, field effect emitting devices, pulsed high current systems, magnetron sputtering cathodes, and plasma deposited thin film coatings. In 1991, he founded Thin Film Consulting to provide research and development services for charged particle and high voltage devices, thin film vapor sources, materials science, and process development.  In 1993, Mr. Elliott implemented use of advanced software for charged particle and high voltage device simulation.  Since then, he has developed X-ray sources, neutron generators, plasma and surface ion beam sources, electron guns, cavity resonators, klystrons, high voltage generators, ion spacecraft thrusters, thin film deposition vapor sources, and pulsed power machines.
