NDT Device Design in Opera – 15 minute overview

Non-destructive testing or evaluation (NDT or NDE) is a process used in industry to evaluate properties of a material or a system without damaging it. Some of the uses of NDT are flaw detection and evaluation, leak detection, location determination, dimensional measurements, structure and Microstructure characterization, estimation of mechanical and physical properties, stress (strain) and dynamic response measurements and material sorting and chemical composition determination. There are several methods for NDE that can be used depending on material type, defect type and its size and location. This 15-minute presentation will focus on benefits of the Opera software in the design and simulation of test setup for Eddy Current testing and Magnetic flux leakage.
